Claire Holmes, MS, RDN

I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist based in New York City and Long Island. I earned my undergraduate degree at Lehigh University, where I studied Environmental Engineering. One of the greatest gifts I have received in my life was my discovery of health through nutrition. I struggled with hormonal imbalances, severe acne, and fatigue. However, when I found a way to fuel my body that worked for me, I healed my relationship with food, regained my energy, and cleared up my acne.

My background in Environmental Engineering and my career as a Fashion Model have exposed me to the various pathways that impact our health as a whole. Environmental toxins in beauty products, nutrients in food, and the energy in media we consume all significantly affect our health.

To continue my life's passion and help others achieve their health goals, I became licensed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration. I earned a Master of Science in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology at Teachers College, Columbia University, completing over 1200 hours of supervised practice throughout New York City. During this time, I gained exposure to various medical conditions, including diabetes, gestational diabetes, PCOS, cardiovascular disease, gastrointestinal disorders, autoimmune diseases, and allergies. I also became certified as an Integrative Nutrition Wellness Coach by the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, allowing me to view health from a holistic perspective, considering all factors contributing to a person’s well-being.

My mission is to assist others in finding their journey to sustainable health, just as I have found mine. I use the term "sustainable health" because well-being must continuously work for you in your everyday life and environment. Perfection is not the goal; it is the journey that matters.

What to expect?

1. Discovery Call

I provide a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation to ensure we are a good match. This call allows us to assess if my counseling services align with your nutrition goals. If I believe we are not the right fit, I'll be upfront and suggest referrals to providers better suited to your needs.

2. Initial Consultation

If we both agree we are a good fit to work together, we will schedule a 90-minute initial consultation. This session starts with a thorough assessment of past medical history, symptoms, and diet history. We will also go over any health concerns or goals you might have.

3. Follow Up Appointments

I will recommend follow up sessions based off what your particular needs are. Follow up sessions are 60 minutes.

Between appointments, email support is also offered for small concerns.
